The beach of Mari Ermi stretches for about one kilometer and is characterized by a sandy cover composed of grains of quartz similar to grains of rice. The seabed is sandy and deep.
The pink flamingo is usually nested in adjacent ponds.
The beach is located within Zone C of the protected marine area “Penisola del Sinis – Isola di Mal di Ventre”
